Article Discussing the Don and Birdie Reeder Global Emergency Fund

CERI, the organization that administers the Fund named after my parents, got some exposure recently in the Houston Chronicle. The article in Sunday's Chronicle details CERI's efforts to combat the sex trade, which thrives in Moldova. The article details the suffering of a woman originally kidnapped and sent to Russia to be forced into prostitution but later forced to give birth to babies used to harvest black market organs. After managing to escape, the article describes how the Fund provided resources to provide emergency medical care for this woman. The article describes some other CERI programs designed to address this plight.

Thanks again to everyone who contributed to the fund. Hopefully the article will provide a little more feedback on what CERI does and how this money is making a difference.
