And, go. OK, I generally have a dim view of blogging. Its always seemed to me to be associated with guys sitting around in their underwear waiting for their Magic: The Gathering buddies to come over. Fundamentally, its a cross between a journal you're trying to make other people read, and publishing your own articles that are too dull to interest a real publisher. Either way, its always struck me as an electronic way to elevate one's self-importance. But then I learned that Pete Townshend, man among boys (irony intended), has a blog (which I've conveniently included in my links list). If its good enough for Pete, I had to re-evaluate. So I have recanted, am joining Generation Y and thereby jumping into the cesspool that is the internet. Remember, blogging is ok, its only myspace that's pathetic (if you're over 21). Hey, how's it going?
The initial purpose here is to facilitate posting messages from my upcoming trip to the Seattle area, and access to the photos I will take on the trip. That starts September 1st. I will try to share my vast wisdom and experience with you as well and after the trip.
Finally, here is the FAQ section in advance. Yes the title is a Stuart Smalley homage. No I will not have daily postings. I pledge to avoid personal angst-displays (there will never be a "here's 10 things that make me cry" post). To evoke High Fidelity, I will include Top 5 lists for comment along the way. No, nothing in this blog constitutes the rendition of legal advice (fine print, sorry). And...we must always honor Elvis and New Orleans.

Blogging to increase self-importance? That's what getting on a panel at SXSW Interactive is for. I think that's in your future. :)
Great idea! I'll be over in about an hour with my new Magic, The Gathering cards, although I hope you have clothes on by then.
Oh Chris, when I read your blog I believe that there may be hope for other Republicans. If they could only be more like you....
I love your blog btw, keep it up. However, I request that they are daily affirmations and that you do post the "top 10 things that make you cry" because I want to know.
I have learned more about you reading your blog for 5 minutes than I have ever known about you during the ~20 years we have been acquainted...
